After a long battle to legalize sport betting in Ohio, House Bill 29 was signed into law on December 22, 2021, which legalized sports betting in the state starting from January 1st, 2023.
This bill states that the Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) can grant three types of licenses, Type A licenses, Type B licenses, and Type C licenses.
